Dr. Madagonda Biradar holds a Master’s Degree in Kannada, a P.G. Diploma in Linguistics, and a P.G. Diploma in Basava Studies from Karnatak University, Dharwad. He earned his Doctorate (Ph.D.) from Central University of Karnataka, Kalaburagi, for his research titled “Kannada Translations of Global Poetry – A Theoretical Study.”
He is the author of two acclaimed poetry collections – “Kalada Rasheedi Puta” and “Dore Netti Garuda.” Dr. Biradar has been honored with several awards including the Dr. D.R. Bendre Poetry Award (Christ College, six consecutive years), the Rajyotsava Award (2018) from Gulbarga University, and the Yuva Sahiti Award (2021) from the Government of Karnataka and Halasangi Geleyara Pratishthana.
With over four years of teaching experience, he has served as a faculty member at University College, Mangalore (affiliated to Mangalore University) and is currently working as a Visiting Professor at MVJ College of Engineering and an Assistant Professor of Kannada at MVJ Degree College, Bengaluru.
Dr. Biradar has published several research papers in UGC CARE-listed and ISSN-recognized journals, and has presented papers at numerous national and international conferences.
